Prototype: Forest
A downloadable project
Ran out of time, but here's the prototype of a survival game without an inventory. https://bitbucket.org/OmiyaGames/gamemakers-toolkit-jam-2018/downloads/
In short, I had about 10 hours total to work on this prototype. It was a very busy weekend. There's no objective set, and none of the bars indicate any stats. The intent was to create a survival game where, to compensate for the lack of inventory, one can drag world elements around and have them interact with each other to create world-effects. Honestly, time was not on my favor (which included first day lost due to event hosting, 2 hours of meeting both days, 2 hours of grocery shopping, etc.)
What's implemented:
- Tree generation.
- Unity's box-chan and controls.
- Camera following box-chan.
What's not implemented:
- Everything else.
Credits:
- Practically all art assets and user controller from Unity (including box-chan).
- Box-chan: http://unity-chan.com/contents/license_en/
- Unity Standard Assets: oddly, all sources points to Asset Store license, which doesn't make sense to me, but...
- Asset Store EULA: https://unity3d.com/legal/as_terms
- Store Page: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/essentials/asset-packs/standard-assets-323...
- Trees created in ProBuilder, tool integrated in Unity.
- Menus are from Template Unity Project (MIT License).
